It’s exciting and somewhat surreal to escape into the tranquil nature at Ytri Tunga beach and seal colony. There we enjoy the opportunity to observe Iceland’s incredible wildlife in their natural habitat.

Explore the picturesque ocean cliffs and sea arches of Arnarstapi and Hellnar on the scenic walking trails. Stroll along the shoreline, admire the views of Lóndrangar sea stacks, and learn about the area’s rich maritime history.

At Djúpalónssandur black sand and stone beach, famous for its haunting beauty and historic significance, we feel the untamed pure Icelandic natural rugged beauty as we also learn about history. Walking through the remnants of an ancient fishing village, up close to the untamed waves and unique rock formations, we learn about the area’s cultural heritage and buzzing fishing lifestyle of a hundred years ago.

Experience Iceland’s volcanic heritage up close at Saxhóll volcanic crater. There is a relatively easy climb to the rim of Saxhóll crater via a staircase built into the side of the crater. From the rim, you can enjoy panoramic views and observe various geological features, including volcanic rock formations, lava flows, and volcanic ash deposits.
