Highlights

Eyjafjallajökull and Gígjökull
The majestic volcano and glacier Eyjafjallajokull is very visible in Thorsmork, famous for its explosive eruption in 2010, which caused widespread air travel disruptions across Europe. The area around Eyjafjallajokull glacier and Gígjökull glacier offers stunning views of the glacial ice, volcanic craters, and the picturesque environment. We explore the glacier up close by driving right next up to a glacier cap/outlet Gígjokull glacier, located at the base of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano. It is known for its stunning landscapes and the dramatic interactions between ice and volcanic activity.
Stakkholtsgjá
The hike through Stakkholtsgjá canyon is just stunnnning with its dramatic landscapes, towering walls, and picturesque waterfalls. The canyon is approximately 2 kilometers long and features unique rock formations, lush vegetation, and a river that runs through it. It is relatively easy, making it accessible for many visitors. The canyon's picturesque scenery and the opportunity to explore its depths is attractive for nature lovers and travelers alike exploring unique landscapes in Iceland.
Valahnjúkur
Valahnúkur is a small mountain in Thórsmörk, renowned for its stunning views, the photos taken from its summit will likely be the best of the Iceland trip! The hike to the top is not difficult, and the views of Thorsmörk valley, the nearby Eyjafjallajökull glacier, and the wild glacial rivers flowing below are absolutely breathtaking.

Gljúfrabúi waterfall
This hidden gem lies inside a canyon beside Seljalanfsfoss, its easy to reach but prepare your rain gear as you will get nicely wet! The name Gljúfrabúi means "the one that lives inside the canyon" - exciting...
nauthusa1
Nauthúsagil canyon
A true adventure trip that tests the legs of hikers a little. You have to step on rocks or wade a little bit on your way into this beautiful gorge, but the reward in the end is this cute waterfall greeting you, after climbing up the last rock with the assistance chain. You might want to bring extra pair of dry shoes after this one!
