First we start our journey in Borgarnes village, that some state is the most beautifully located populated site in Iceland. The cliffs by the sea shore are breathtaking. The Settlement Center is a good choice for a nice lunch and to learn about the interesting story of the Vikings and settlement of Iceland.
Then we drive into the fjord, Borgarfjordur, where we visit the biggest hot spring in Europe; Deildartunguhver and here you have the option of rejuvenating in Krauma natural spa and baths, as pure and authentic as it gets, the geothermal energy coming right from the lava for you to enjoy!
The breathtaking waterfalls of Childrens falls (Barnafosssar) and Lava falls (Hraunfossar) is our next stop, they lie next to each other and while they differ in every way, shape and form, together they make a stunning site of unique water art in the lava.
Víðgelmir is one of the largest lava caves in Iceland, located in the Borgarfjörður region.
